How do I choose an area code?

Pick the code your customers already know. Where a city has overlay codes, all of them reach the same customers.

Can I use a local number if I am not located there?

Yes. Your phones can be anywhere. The area code is what customers see. It does not give you an office in that city.

What if my preferred area code has nothing available?

Choose an overlay code for the same area, such as 857 for Boston or 323 and 738 for central Los Angeles. Availability changes daily.

Do I need a new phone?

No. Calls to your local number ring the mobile you already carry. Start calls in the Numberline app to show your business number.

Can I bring the local number I already have?
