A local or toll-free line for the whole crew. Job calls ring the right mobile, customer texts and leak photos land in one shared inbox, and voicemails arrive as transcripts.

Business number

Get a local or toll-free number, or port the one your customers already have, and put it on the truck, the yard sign, and the invoices instead of your personal cell.

Simple call routing

A short greeting with a keypress per option: new jobs ring the owner and the office, emergencies ring whoever is on call.

Leak under the sinkOn our way, 2 to 4 today.

Shared text messages

A customer texts a photo of the leak to the business number, and whoever is free replies from the shared inbox, so the thread never gets stuck on one phone.

Voicemail & transcripts

Every voicemail is transcribed and emailed with its recording on every plan, so you read it between jobs and call back from the business number. Grow and Max add an AI summary in the email.

Email & Slack alerts

A voicemail on the emergency line is emailed with its transcript to the addresses you choose, and on Grow and Max a notification can post to Slack, so someone follows up fast.

After-hours forwarding

After hours, forward emergency calls to your own answering provider or an AI agent you connected, and back to the on-call plumber in the morning.

Move plumbing calls & texts off the owner’s cell.

Before Numberline
  • Every call and text goes to the owner’s personal cell
  • Missed calls depend on the owner to follow up.
  • Adding a plumber means handing out another personal number
After Numberline
  • One business line the whole crew answers from their own mobiles
  • Voicemail transcripts reach the office email, and Slack on Grow and Max
  • Add a plumber by adding an extension; the number customers call never changes

Questions plumbers ask

Can I use my existing plumbing business number?
Numberline is designed to support bringing your current business number. Join early access and we'll share porting details when setup opens.
Can calls ring my cell phone?
Yes. You can forward calls to your cell, an admin's mobile, an existing business phone, or the outside answering provider you choose, and several cell phones can ring one after another, or all at once on Grow and Max. Your personal number stays private because customers only ever see the business number.
Can I send and receive texts from the business number?
Yes. Texts to the business number land in one shared inbox, photos included on a local number once texting registration is approved. Photo messaging on toll-free numbers is confirmed with you during setup. The team can read and reply from the same place, so a customer message never gets stuck on one person's phone.
Can different types of calls go to different people?
Yes. Set up a simple menu and route each option however you like. New jobs can ring the owner and office, emergencies can ring the on-call plumber, and existing customers can ring the dispatcher. Optional: send new jobs to a connected AI intake agent that collects the address, the problem, and a callback time, while existing customers still reach a person.
What happens if nobody answers?
The call goes to your Numberline business voicemail. The recording and transcript are emailed to the addresses you choose, so someone follows up. On Grow and Max, a notification can post to Slack too.
Is Numberline dispatch software?
No. Numberline is your phone system. It helps calls and texts reach the right person. It does not schedule jobs, assign technicians, or manage invoices.
Do we need new phones or equipment?
No. Calls forward to the mobiles your crew already carry, or to the phone already in your office, with no new app needed to receive them. To call back from the business number, use the Numberline app.
What happens when we add another plumber?
Add an extension, invite them, and route emergencies or new jobs to their mobile. The number your customers call never changes.
Is there a contract?
Numberline is launching soon. Join early access and we'll send details on pricing, setup, and availability before public launch.
